Need some ideas for using Instagram Reels for your Chamber of Commerce? There are so many creative ways to use reels without having to dance or lip-sync. Instagram reels are a perfect tool for Chambers to highlight local businesses, promote events, educate your members, and so much more.

I’ve put together a list of 11 different ideas you can use to create Instagram Reels for your Chamber of Commerce. Next to each idea, I embedded a real-life example from Chambers already producing reels on Instagram.

11 Instagram Reel Ideas for Chambers of Commerce

Highlight Your Chamber’s Activities

Promote your Chamber of Commerce to your members by creating a reel showcasing your Chamber’s recent activities.

Feature Member Benefits

Remind your members and tell potential members what they get from a Chamber membership. You can take a video just talking about it or do a text-over video just like this one.

While this reel from Troy Chamber of Commerce shows several benefits at once, a video where you feature one benefit at a time or even a member testimonial about using their benefits would be a great choice, too.

Add a Little Humor to your Instagram Reels (If it Fits Your Brand)

If it fits your Chamber of Commerce’s brand, mix up your reels with a little humor. Entertaining content can get a lot of engagement, when it works.

This fun reel by the New Prague Chamber of Commerce promotes shopping small. It gets the message across in a way that catches your eye.

Tip: It’s better to create the Reel in IG and not just post your TikTok videos. The algorithm is now catching videos with the TikTok watermark on it and does not recommend them to other viewers.

Feature the Product(s) of a Member Business

If you’re out to lunch or out shopping or if a member drops off a gift for you at the Chamber, you can create a reel to highlight the product. It’s a simple way to showcase the business and say thanks at the same time.

This reel by the Cambridge Chamber of Commerce is a simple video with text and music. It’s a quick and easy video, but it got a lot of views!
